DEVConnect is a new program at GitHub to provide support for developer communities. By joining the program, you tell us about your community once and then open the door for continued support.
Why Join DEVConnect?
By joining the program, it allows us to simplify the process of getting you support and to scale that support to more communities. Support includes:
- Priority access to venues, including GitHub offices in SF and Bellevue
- Request fiscal sponsorship for meetups
- Access to workshop content and an international community of organizers
- Speaker request form for GitHub employees and our extended community
Sponsorship Criteria
Who qualifies? Verifiable organizers of established, in-person communities. What does that mean? You are publicly associated with your community, whether on Meetup.com or another platform Your community is 1+ year old and has hosted at least 4 events with 50+ RSVPs in the past 18-months Your events are primarily hosted in-person.. Eventually, we hope to support new and online communities but the requirements allow us to worry less about fraud and more about getting support out as quickly as possible.
